ANNOUNCING MAY SPARTAN STAR RECIPIENTS!,
Spartan Stars are chosen by our amazing lunch ladies who get to see the kiddos during lunch everyday. They watch for leadership qualities, like helping another student, picking things up that might have been left behind or on the floor, using their manners, being extra helpful or kind throughout the month. We have enjoyed watching the kiddos trying so hard to do extra things, be extra helpful in hopes of being the SPARTAN STAR of the month. Miss Barb, Miss Vicky & Miss Luann want to thank our May winners and all the chosen Spartan Stars since this has started . We are proud of all of you and hope you all have an amazing summer.

*Sauder Village Never Disappoints*
2nd and 3rd graders had a great time learning hands-on historical ways to get water to the house, share family housing space, make bread, blow glass, how people bathed and shaved, watched an old fashion voiceless movie, rode a trolley train, visited and old jail, and so much more.

Today, May 24th, is a half day for students. Dismissal at 11:30.

Our Spartans Baseball and Lady Spartans Softball teams conquered Pittsford this evening! Congratulations teams! Whoop whoop!🥎⚾🖤🤍❤️
*STEM*
Tomorrow is the last STEM competition for boys from 3-4.
*BUY PLANTS*
Stop by the school during school hours this week! Our FFA Spartans are out front of the school with plants with more in the greenhouse!
*PLASTIC GROCERY BAGS*
Our Elementary STEM classes are still in need of plastic grocery bags (Meijer, DG, etc.). If you have any you would be willing to donate please drop them off at the Central Office or send them in with your student.
WALDRON SPARTAN SATR!
Every month the school chooses a person or persons to honor as the SPARTAN STAR which is announced by our Principal, Mr. Shawn Ellison.
The Spartan Star is chosen for going over & above for our district & students.
The Spartan Star for the month of May went to Mrs. Audra Shea, owner of Sheananigans on US127 in Hudson. Mrs. Shea donated the main courses for the Senior Top Ten luncheon and also for the Top 2 of the class for grades 1st thru 11th. Mrs, Shea is a huge supporter of the surrounding communities, especially supporting the schools & their students.

On Thursday, May 16th, Miss Barb, Miss Vicky & Miss Luann, held their second honorary "TOP OF THE CLASS" luncheon.
This special luncheon honored the TOP 2 in grades 1st thru 11th.
Grades 1st thru 5th, were picked by their teachers, whereas, grades 6th thru 11th were based on grade point average.
Miss Barb, Miss Vicky & Miss Luann are so proud of all of you & we thank you for working hard & being amazing leaders,
Their main course of chicken strips & macaroni with cheese and bacon was, again, DONATED by Audra Shea owner of SHEANANIGANS on US127 in Hudson.

May Term is graded off attendance and participation. Per the MT Handbook, "Students may only have two unexcused absences. More than two unexcused absences will result in an incomplete. HS Spartans with an incomplete must retake it senior year." Please contact Mr. Ellison or Jenn with questions.
*PLASTIC GROCERY BAGS*
Elementary students will be making their own jump ropes to take home for the summer! In order to do this, we are asking for donations of plastic grocery bags (Walmart, DG, etc.). Please send them to school with your student or drop them off in the Central Office.

After school STEM with Mrs. DiCenso will be this Wednesday, May 15th, from 3-5pm.
*MEMORIES*
It's time to order your 2023-2024 yearbook! Yearbooks are $40 each and orders are due by May 27th. Please contact Miss Cramer with any questions! Don't miss out!
*PLANT SALE*
Come out to the greenhouse tomorrow and pick out a hanging basket and plants for mom and grandma! The FFA greenhouse will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. tomorrow! See you there!
*SENIORS & PARENTS*
Important reminders:
1. Caps may be picked up today but must be returned by May 15.
2. Monday - seniors must be at school by 12:15 pm to complete EDP's (grad requirement).
3. Tuesday - seniors must be at school by 12:15 pm for CPR training and AimsWeb (grad requirements).
4. All seniors are to attend Senior Spotlight on May 15 at 6pm. Guests are welcome to celebrate!
5. May 17 - All seniors are to report to school by 8:00 am.
6. May 19 - All seniors report to school by 12:30 pm.

Tonight, May 9th, at 6:30pm in the Multi Purpose room is the FFA Awards Banquet. Pulled pork sandwiches and drinks will be provided. Please bring a side dish to pass. All family members are invited to attend and support our FFA Members!
⚾️WALDRON 10U SUMMER BASEBALL⚾️
Jeremy Flickinger will be coaching 10U summer baseball at Waldron this year. Please contact Coach Flickinger at (517) 425-9039 if your child would like to play this summer. Practice will begin this Thursday, May 9th 5-7pm. If you are unable to make this practice but would still like to play, please let us know. We will send out future dates for times/practices after Thursday.

The Freshman Class is selling raffle tickets for a chance to win 4 Cedar Point tickets or 4 Toledo Zoo tickets. Tickets are 1/$5 or 3/$10. Contact any Freshman to purchase your tickets or you can also get them at the Central Office. The drawing will be held on May 31st.
