Due to the forecasted extreme cold temperatures, which are expected to be even colder than today, Waldron Area Schools will be closed on Tuesday, January 21st. The safety and well-being of our students and staff remain our top priority, and these conditions make it unsafe for travel and outdoor activities.
All school-related activities, including HACC, after-school programs and extracurricular events, will also be canceled.
We encourage families to take precautions during this extreme weather and ensure children remain safe and warm. For updates and additional information, please check our district website, social media pages, or local news outlets.

All seniors received an email from Jostens this afternoon! If interested, order your class ring or other graduation apparel. Cap and gown are separate and ordered through the school. If you have not seen Delleshae, please do so this week so we can place the class order by Friday.
*STEAM*
Our Elementary STEAM class students were able to use clay to form 3D shapes.

Reminder that the following programs are off tomorrow - HACC, BACC, HBC, JET, KCC, JC, and Voc Skills. College students MUST be at school for their morning HS classes regardless if it's a scheduled college day. Work based learning may work, if choose so, otherwise touchbase with your employer.

Our Waldron tech bus broke down this morning. The students made it back to Waldron safely. Unfortunately, they will not be attending today as a result. Spartans may self transport if they wish, otherwise we will see you by noon.

There is no junior high girls basketball practice tomorrow. The FFA lock in begins at 6:00 pm.

Due to double booking on February 10th. The Junior High Girls Basketball game will be played at Litchfield starting at 5:30pm on Monday, February 10th.

This letter is to inform you of a recent cybersecurity incident that impacted PowerSchool, a company that provides our school district with student information management software. This incident is limited to PowerSchool with no evidence of further impact to district operations.
We understand that on December 28, 2024, PowerSchool discovered unauthorized access to certain customer data, including some information related to our school district. PowerSchool has informed us that they have taken all appropriate steps to prevent the data involved from further unauthorized access or misuse.
PowerSchool is investigating and has committed to providing details regarding the impacted data. They are also providing necessary support and we are working diligently alongside them to keep apprised of their investigation.
As always, our #1 priority is to ensure the safety and security of our students and staff. We will share further updates as relevant information becomes available.
