A Message from Your Superintendent:
In the wake of the horrific tragedies that occurred Tuesday afternoon at Oxford High School I want to assure our Waldron Community of the steps we take each and every day to keep your most precious children safe and growing as they are in our midst.
1. We believe every student has great potential and it is our mission to bring out the “genius” in each and every student.
2. Our entire staff works to create the positive relationships and positive community that every student craves. As we talk with our students, both formally and informally, we get to know them and they get to know us.
3. As our students get to know us, we build relationships and trust where students know and see that we have their best interest in mind.
4. We give support to students in the form of behavioral coaching, counseling services, academic intervention, and in some cases, law enforcement and referrals for probation officers.
5. We celebrate good behavior and apply appropriate consequences for poor behavior.
6. Our entire staff model the behavior that we expect from our students.
7. And finally, we always encourage students to report any unusual behavior or poor behavior, from other students or adults, so that we can address that and continue to help all of our students be safe and feel supported.
As always, we welcome your suggestions, comments, and critique as we go forward equipping your children for a happy, healthy and prosperous future!
