Our Spartan cheerleaders are at the school offering their gift wrapping services! Let them give you a break! They are there until 8:00pm this evening!
*NEW POWERSCHOOL WEBSITE* There has been a change with PowerSchool with a new website. Please go to https://waldron.powerschool.com. If you have any questions, please let Kelli Williams know.
*Concert Day!* It's concert day for our elementary students. Come on out at 5pm for walking taco dinner and see Santa! Tickets can still be purchased at the door adults $8 and kids $6. Students need to be in their classrooms by 5:30, the concert begins at 6pm. See you there!
*Holiday Cheer* The high school student council will be selling hot chocolate and candy cane -candygrams Monday Dec 12th and Tuesday Dec 13th during middle and high school lunch. Students can buy a cup of hot chocolate for $2 or send a candy cane with a message to a friend for $1.
*A FEW REMINDERS FOR THIS WEEK*
ONE DAY ONLY Secret Santa Shop is open Tuesday, Dec. 13 from 9AM-6PM.
Elementary music concert and taco dinner is also Tuesday, Dec. 13. Taco dinner starts at 5PM with the concert starting at 6PM.
Robotic meeting for 6th-12 graders at 6PM on Wednesday, Dec. 14.
Thursday and Friday, Dec. 15 & 16, are FULL days and are exam days for our middle/high school students. We will see our students back on Tuesday, January 3, 2023.
*Holiday Spirit Week* This week students can dress up to show their holiday spirt as we get ready for break. See our Facebook or Live Feed stream for each day's theme.
*SANTA SECRET SHOP* There will be a one day only Santa Secret Shop open for our students to shop for their friends and family. It will be on Tuesday, December 13 from 9AM-6PM in the media center. It will be open before the elementary music concert. Please note: this is a ONE DAY ONLY sale. Happy Shopping!
*Tacos with Santa* Friday December 9th is the last day to pre-order tickets for our taco dinner. Stop by the main office, email Ms. Mroczek amy.mroczek@waldronspartans.org, or see a band student to order yours asap. Tickets will still be available at the door for an additional $2.
*ROBOTICS* There will be an informational Robotics meeting next Wednesday, Dec. 14 at 6PM in the media center for students in 6th-12th grade and their parents. Please come out and learn more about our Robotics Team!
*WELL DONE* We want to give a shout out to Stephanie Leininger for her Awards for TRADES through her accounting program with LISD. Stephanie was recongnized for her teamwork, responsibilitiy, attitude, dependability, effort and safety. Well done, Stephanie! Keep up the good work!
*SCHOOL OF CHOICE OPEN ENROLLMENT* Open enrollment has reopened now until Dec. 16, 2022. Please come to the main office to enroll today. This is for students who live out of our district and want to enroll mid-year.
*GIRLS JR PRO BASKETBALL SIGNUPS* 3rd-5th grade girls can sign up to play basketball! Sign up sheets were passed out or if you need another one, they are in the main office. Any questions, please contact Emily Jones at 517-320-0264.
*BOOKWORMS DISCONTINUED* We regret to inform our Waldron Library BookWorm participates that the program will no longer be available. A letter will be going home with each student who attends this program. Thank you for understanding.
*POPCORN FRIDAY* Tomorrow, Dec. 2, wil be another Popcorn Friday! Bring your fifty cents and enjoy a tasty treat!
Tonight is FAFSA night for our seniors and their parents! We will see you all at six in the media center!
*BAND CONCERT* Don't forget about our band concert tomorrow, Dec. 1 at 7PM. There will be a Walking Taco Dinner from 5-7pm to raise money for the band program. The elementary music concert is Tuesday, Dec. 13 at 6pm with another dinner prior to the concert. Please come and support our music department.
*FAFSA NIGHT*
FAFSA night will be this Wednesday at 6PM! We are asking for all seniors and parents to attend. Have you received any form of supplemental government (federal or state) assistance for living expenses? Your senior can qualify for financial benefits! You don't make too much or too little! Many institutions give scholarship money just for completing your FAFSA!
*NEW PLAYGROUND COMING TO WALDRON AREA SCHOOLS*
Waldron Area Schools has received a $50,000 grant from GameTime and will renovate their existing playground. Two new structures, Accelerate II and Huckleberry Hill, will tentatively be installed in the spring/summer of 2023. Old structures will be removed. Waldron is also looking for funding to add a gazebo/picnic area to the grounds to better serve their students and community.
